Review of the Big Red

Theme and plot of the story

Grab a knife worthy of the name, go down under, and head into the bush with Big Red. Dingoes, bush pigs, and saltwater crocodiles may all be found in the outback, mixed up with the traditional King to Nine emblems and other animals (no aces in this game).

The outback scene is well reflected by the large number of animals and the backdrop of Australian red dust desert in this painting.

If you are unable to finance a trip to Australia, you may always try your hand at this.

Graphics, sounds, and animations are all included.

Despite the fact that the atmosphere is entertaining, the aesthetics are well done. Even if the conventional King to Nine symbols seem out of place, on the whole, the artwork is pleasing to the eye and nicely animated.

The sound design is straightforward. There is no background music, and the only noises are those associated with winnings and reel spins. Even though it would have been wonderful to have had something a bit more professionally made in this section, it is preferable to have no music rather than bad music.

Gameplay

The gameplay is uninspiring, delivering simply the tried and true push button spin reel play of a five reel slot machine, which has been around for years. Gambling is available via the game’s gamble function, which allows you to play double or nothing by betting on which color the next card from the top of a deck of cards will be, or quadruple or nothing by betting on which suit the card will be.

The extras are rather standard fare in terms of design (see below for details).

Overall, much like the aesthetics, it isn’t really memorable, but it also doesn’t do anything particularly egregious. All in all, a respectable average.

Wilds, bonuses, and free spins are all included in this game.

Big Red has a tree that acts as a Scatter symbol, ranging from double your bet per spin if two or more appear from left to right, all the way up to fifty times your wager if one or more appear on all five reels during a single spin.

There is also a Wild symbol, the big red kangaroo of the title. This may be used in place of any other sign, with the exception of the Scatter.

If the Wild symbol appears as part of a winning combination, it will also provide a free spin to the player. You get 5 free spins for each Wild symbol in each winning combination.

During the free spins the Scatter symbol will pay out the same amount as the line which won you the free spins. Consider the following scenario: if you activate the spins with a Jack and two Wilds (each worth ten times your bet per line) and strike two trees on the first spin, the trees pay out a total of twenty times your wager per line.

Free Spins may be stacked, meaning if you strike more lines with a Wild during the free spins round, you will get an additional five spins on top of that.

Bet sizes, return on investment (RTI), and variance

A combination of the rarity of the lucrative free spin rounds and the fact that there are only five winlines results in a medium to high level of variation in the game. With certain high-variance techniques, this is a really good strategy to use.

The major attraction of this slot, though, is its return to player percentage of 97.04 percent, which is much higher than the industry average of roughly 96 percent.

When playing all five lines at maximum bet, the bet amounts on the site we tested varied from €/£/$0.01 per spin when playing only one line up to a maximum wager of €/£/$5.00 per spin when playing all five lines at maximum bet.

Conclusion

Despite the fact that Big Red is not the most visually appealing or feature-rich of slots, it is well-constructed and has a respectable return to player (RTP) and volatility in its favor.

Apart from that, it’s impossible not to be charmed by the beautiful dingoes.
