Review of the Book of Lords

Theme and plot of the story

The title of this game, Book of Lords, implies that it is a rip-off of the very successful Book of Ra. It is not known if the two assets are linked, with Amatic publishing Book of Lords and Novomatic owning Book of Ra, respectively.

Featuring behatted explorers exploring tombs and arks in the deserts of Egypt with the customary design choices of ankhs and animal-headed deities that the Egyptian treasure hunter demands, both games are available on the PlayStation 3.

However, unlike other rip-offs, Book of Lords (despite its cumbersome title) improves on the original in terms of aesthetics and playability, and hence is worth playing.

Graphics, sounds, and animations are all included.

This slot’s visuals are rather good, with a high quality three-dimensional feel and a visual style that is evocative of the 1930s adventure serials that impacted the contemporary properties that influenced the slot that was influenced by this slot, as well as the game itself.

The soundtrack, which is probably best muted after a few loops, does an adequate job of creating the ambiance, and the basic, but effective animations for winnings and reel spins help to complete the picture.

Gameplay

The basic game is a standard video slot, featuring ten paylines, five reels, and three rows on which to wager.

The additional features in the base game slot make it a little more interesting, but as you can see in the video below, they are rather simple and just require a single unique symbol.

When it comes to the gaming features of the game, the overall result is a touch disappointing.

Wilds, Bonuses and Free Spins

The game has a combined Scatter, Bonus and Wild symbol which substitutes for any symbol on a winline. If you strike three or more of the Wild symbols, you will get a payout and will also be awarded 10 free spins.

During the free spins, a different symbol is selected at random to act as an expanding symbol, and so on. It will grow once any victories have been computed, and then any wins will be recalculated for a second time following the first calculation.

Bet sizes, return on investment (RTI), and variance

The publisher did not make the return to player feature of this game accessible, which is a huge red flag and stops us from issuing a recommendation for it. Several additional sources indicate a return on investment (RTI) of 96.71 percent, which, if genuine, is very good and puts it slightly beyond our threshold of 96 percent for average return on investment.

A wager may be placed on the site we tested for anything from €/$/£0.10 to £/$/€50.00. This is a somewhat modest spread for any big rollers out there, but it should be plenty for the majority of people’s bankrolls to function well.

The volatility of this game is high, which appeals to us since we like to pick high volatility for our chosen techniques, which makes it an enticing option.

Conclusion

If you like the very popular Book of Ra, we urge that you give this a try as well.. The return on investment (RTI) is (possibly) higher, and the visuals have much improved.

However, in the end, the attractive appearance does not compensate for the many shortcomings, and we are unable to suggest this product.
