Review of China Shores

Theme and plot of the story

A slot machine named China Shores from Japanese game developers Konami would have been anticipated to include an aspect of the local rivalry between Japan and China in its design. However, this was not the case. As opposed to the typical China-themed slot, which uses red and gold as its primary colors, China Shores uses green as its primary color scheme.

In addition to panda faces and golden turtles, the reels are ornamented with the Chinese character for “Good Luck” spelled upside down — the sign for “Arrives” looks a lot like the upside-down “Good Luck” symbol, and therefore is a type of visual pun informing the player that good fortune has arrived.

As a result, this isn’t a very innovative take on the Chinese slot. In order to stand out from the crowd, this game will rely on its aesthetics and jackpot mechanism.

Graphics, sounds, and animations are all included.

Unfortunately, the visuals will not be able to save China Shores from its bleak outlook. Although the panda is adorable, the drawing is not very well done, and the color choice is a little excessive.

The animations are simple and straightforward. There are just lines to denote victories, and a basic spin motion to accompany them. Also mirrored in the sound design, where the slot nearly seems like it’s broken due to how sparsely the sound effects are scattered around.

A musical soundtrack for China Shores was not included, which may have been a prudent move considering the remainder of the game’s design considerations.

Gameplay

China Shores is a five-reel, three-row slot with thirty paylines that can be played on any device.

There is a two-tiered jackpot mechanism in place, which is activated by chance. Players that place bigger bets have a greater chance of winning the jackpot.

The jackpot is the primary attraction of the game, which is otherwise rather straightforward. There is no gamble feature, just a single free spin bonus, and nothing more to speak about.

Wilds, bonuses, and free spins are all included in this game.

The Wild symbol may be used to replace any other symbol with the exception of the Bonus sign.

When three or more Bonus symbols appear on the reels, a Free Spins bonus is triggered, awarding eight spins for three symbols, ten spins for four symbols and fifteen spins for five symbols. During the free spins round, all of the player’s wins are multiplied by two, doubling their total value.

However, before the free spins can be played, the player is presented with an option: either play the free spins or accept a randomly generated one-time Credit Win. The Credit Win may be worth anywhere between 32 and 234, 000 times the amount wagered each line, albeit the weighting is skewed towards the lower end of that range.

If a player has more than twenty free spins remaining after selecting the free spins option, he or she has the option to return to the Credit Win option. In that situation, they simply accept the Credit Win and will be exited from the free spins.

Bet sizes, return on investment (RTI), and variance

If the jackpots are excluded from the calculation, the return to player for the main game is just 88.90 percent, which is an extremely low percentage. Nevertheless, when jackpots are taken into consideration, the RTP is 96.10 percent, which is extremely near to the average of 96 percent……….

There was a wide selection of bets available on the site we tested, ranging from a minimum wager per spin of $/£/€0.30 up to a maximum stake per spin of $/£/€60.00.

Our favorite slot machine tactics, which are designed to target the maximum potential volatility in the slots we choose, are a fairly good fit for this game’s medium volatility, which makes it a moderately good match for our preferred slot machine strategies.

However, since players who place greater bets are more likely to win the jackpots, the real volatility of the game rises as the player’s bet lowers in value.

Conclusion

China Shores is a slot that does not impress. The aesthetics are mediocre, and they are put to a stale, outdated theme. No one has made an attempt to improve the slot experience by adding engaging animations or immersive sound effects.

The major attraction is the possibility of winning large sums of money via the jackpots, however even here, the jackpot pool is far less than the pool supplied by slots that are more popular, such as EGT’s Hot slot series.

China Shore’s low volatility and low return on investment (RTI) in the basic game are the last nails in its coffin. This is a time period that we do not suggest.
