Review of the Eye of Horus Megaways

Theme and plot of the story

A dismal temple atmosphere and hieroglyphics instantly cast this slot machine into the generic obscurity that hundreds of other Ancient Egyptian slot machines have occupied since its inception.

It doesn’t add anything new to the conversation. There are no contemporary adventurers who are hell-bent on tomb raiding. To the hieroglyphic designs, there are no aesthetic embellishments. Rather than adding anything new, it seems to have eliminated many of the aspects that made Egyptian slots fascinating to play.

It takes more effort than Eye of Horus Megaways to stand out when a subject has been done as many times as this one has been done.

Graphics, sounds, and animations are all included.

Contrary to expectations, especially for a developer that has invested in a license for the Megaways system, the visuals on this slot are really disappointing. Renderings of Egyptian images that are passable yet unoriginal.

The animations are completely good, however they are lacking in flair and personality. This is true for both the film and the music. The win and spin noises seem to have been carried over from other BluePrint Gaming slots, and they lack any sense of atmosphere or flair in the least.

While this kind of personalization may be effective with certain themes, it is incongruous with the tone of an Ancient Egyptian slot game and causes the player to get disoriented and lose their focus.

Gameplay

Big Time Gaming is the company that created the Megaways system. Every time the reels are spun, the amount of symbols on each reel is determined by a random number generator. It also employs a “any way wins” approach, in which winning combinations are tallied from left to right beginning on reel one, regardless of where the matching symbols appear on the reels.

The amount of winning combinations varies from one spin to the next. However, it is always between a minimum of 64 symbols (two on each reel) and a maximum of 15, 625 symbols (for five symbols on each reel).

There are several entertaining “upgrades” embedded inside the free spin bonus (see below for details). All in all, this adds up to some high-quality gaming that more than makes up for the slot’s numerous other flaws to some extent.

Wilds, bonuses, and free spins are all included in this game.

The Wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter symbol. When a Wild symbol falls on a reel, it expands to take up the full reel.

If you get three or more Scatters, you’ll get twelve free spins.

During the Free Spins, each Wild symbol that appears on any reel increases the number of upgrade tablets available for use during the remaining spins. Every symbol on the first upgrade tablet is transformed into the second lowest paying symbol on the second upgrade tablet. When they get the second improvement, they are all moved to the third lowest level. Etc…

Additionally, for every Wild that appears, the player receives an additional number of spins. One Wild card is awarded for each spin. Three more spins are added to the player’s total if two Wilds appear on the same spin. Three Wilds at once add five spins. In addition, four Wilds bring the total to seven.

Bet sizes, return on investment (RTI), and variance

The return to player for this game is 95.49 percent, which is much lower than our benchmark of about 96 percent for the average.

There was a wide selection of wagers available on the site we tested, ranging from a minimum bet per spin of $0.10 to a maximum stake per spin of $/£/€10.00.

Our recommended slot machine techniques do not work well with this game because of its medium level of volatility. Our slot techniques are designed to provide the greatest amount of volatility feasible. When combined with a poor return on investment, this slot does not get our recommendation.

Conclusion

If the slot’s dull theme and aesthetics, as well as its borrowed sound effects and animations, fail to captivate us, the slot’s poor return to player (RTP) and medium volatility drive the nails further into its tomb even more.

The fact that there are some strong gaming mechanics and a nice bonus game is insufficient compensation.

It should be mentioned that, despite the fact that we do not advocate this particular position, it has proven to be popular. As a result, be aware that your results may differ.
