Peter’s Universe

The concept for this bizarre slot machine is based on the story of Peter Pan, but in a cyberpunk style. Fancy Wild symbols and a fresh take on the classics, on the other hand, are insufficient to compensate for the slot's inadequacies.

Theme and plot of the story

The cherished children’s classic by J M Barrie is well-known to most of us thanks to the Disney classic and the long-running stage productions of the same name.

Now you can relive the adventure in the shape of a slot machine, but this time with a cyberpunk spin on it. In the backdrop of the slot, a dystopian neon-lit London is portrayed, and a spacecraft has taken the place of the pirate ship. A hacker’s visor has been added to Peter and Tinkerbell’s heads, and the crocodile that haunted Captain Hook in the novel has been replaced with a robot.

It is GameArt’s brilliant reinterpretation of a well-known universe, which transforms the familiar into something entirely new.

Graphics, sounds, and animations are all included.

The visuals are a touch shaky at times. The design of the slot machine is a little gaudy and overcrowded, as is the case with many of Eyecon’s slot machines.

In spite of this, the animations are colorful and simple to follow, with a backdrop theme music that is reminiscent of Peter Pan.

Gameplay

The gaming set up is a touch odd with one hundred win lines scattered across a five by four grid.

In reality, however, this actually just has the effect of reducing the volatility of the slot when compared to comparable games with fewer winlines.

There is a gamble element to add some spice to the proceedings, as well as a few other additional features, which are detailed in further detail below.

Wilds, bonuses, and free spins are all included in this game.

The Wild sign, which has Tinkerbell’s face on it, may be used to replace any other symbol in the game except for the Bonus symbol. All Wilds also advance one square to the left, triggering an automatic respin every time they appear on the board. Until all of the Wilds have been pushed to the left edge of the screen, these respins will continue.

The planet bonus will be triggered if you land three or more Bonus symbols on a single spin. This provides you with a total of 20 planets to pick from, each of which has a different random award attached to it (free spins, cash prizes, or wild reels). The number of picks increases by one for every additional Bonus symbol you get after hitting three Bonus symbols. If you strike four Bonus symbols, the number of picks increases by one.

Bet sizes, return on investment (RTI), and variance

This game has a return to player percentage of 96.10 percent.

In part because of the abnormally large number of fixed win lines on the site we tested, the range of bets on the site we tested ranged from a minimum of $1.00 per spin (or $0.01 per line) up to a maximum stake of $100.00 per spin (or $1.00 per line).

While this game has medium volatility, we feel it is a touch too low for our tastes.. For more information, please see our recommended strategies.

Conclusion

With a few great extra features to liven up the otherwise somewhat monotonous game play, Peter’s Universe is a respectable but uninspired slot machine from Playtech.

The cyberpunk-Neverland scenario is the most appealing aspect of Peter’s Universe for us, but the game’s low return on investment and moderate volatility overshadow the positive aspects.

This is a time period that we do not suggest.
