Reel’em in for a second opinion

Theme and plot of the story

Reel’em In looks to be trying all it can to transform the world of freshwater fish into the Disneyfied world of The Little Mermaid. Everything, even the fish, has winning animations that seem to have been stolen from the Disney style guide, and there’s even a happy smile on the face of the worm on a hook.

It’s a little adorable, and the familiar style makes the player feel right at home straight away, and it may even inspire them to try to recall the music to Under The Sea (which is included).

Graphics, sounds, and animations are all included.

In terms of visuals, the game is a little low-resolution, with pixelation visible even in the smallest windowed version of the game. This fault aside, they are beautifully crafted and immediately identifiable, with each symbol containing a significant amount of personality.

The fish symbols are also given amusing small motions that are appropriate for their characteristics, and the inanimate symbols are visually appealing even when they are immobile.

As soon as you press the spin button, a banjo melody begins to play, but since it only plays while the reels are spinning, it does not become distracting in the way that most background music does on slot machines. The noises associated with winning combinations, as well as the spinning and stopping of the reels, are robust and well-made, even if they don’t really jump out.

All in all, it is a very well-designed WMS game.

Gameplay

The gameplay is where the game has problems, and it is a shame.

The primary game has a high level of quality. It operates as a standard 20-payline, five-reel slot machine, and it has a decent speed to it.

The bonus system, on the other hand, is exceedingly intricate (see below for a breakdown). However, when the extras do appear, they provide some interesting variations, and in reality, if you’re content to drift along with the bonuses, you’ll still have a good time with the game.

Wilds, bonuses, and free spins are all included in this game.

There are a number of different special symbols. The main two are the Wild, which subs in for any non-special symbol on a winline, and the Lure symbol which is a Scatter when playing by itself but acts as a Bonus symbol when combined with one of the other special symbols on the 5th reel.

Fisherman’s Contest, Big Bass Hole Lure, Big Bass, and the random Fly event are some of the unique symbols that might occur on the fifth reel of the game. When they occur in combination with two Scatter symbols, a bonus game is triggered and played.

When you land three or more Scatter symbols on the reels by itself, the Fishing Hole Feature is activated. This allows you to throw a fishing line into a hole and haul out various randomised prizes which include extra throws, payouts, multipliers and combinations thereof. Additionally, you may gain entry to one of the extra games.

When you land three or more Scatter symbols on the fifth reel, together with a Fishing Contest symbol, you will be sent to the Fishing Contest extra round, in which you will choose a character who will throw a line five times. You will get cash for each fish caught, as well as a bonus based on your overall placing in the fishing event.

When you land three or more Scatter symbols on the fifth reel, together with a Big Bass Hole symbol, you will be sent to the Big Bass Fishing Hole bonus game, in which you will be able to choose a character. This character will then get a random amount of casts or picks based on their position in the game. Each vote results in a random monetary prize being awarded.

When the Big Bass symbol occurs on the 5th reel in conjunction with the random Fly event, a random payout of between x4 and x10 the entire wager is awarded to the player.

You’ve got everything; now there will be a test…

All of these distinct incentives combine to make for an entertaining game, particularly if you find yourself switching between the Fishing Competition and the other extra games often.

Bet sizes, return on investment (RTI), and variance

The return to player (RTP) for Reel’em In is 95.99 percent. Since we generally use 96 percent as a benchmark for the industry, this is very much on par with the standard operating procedure.

Because of this, the game’s volatility is very low, with the primary game giving out relatively tiny winnings, but doing so on a regular basis. The outcome will be beneficial to individuals whose bankroll does not enable them to withstand prolonged downswings; nonetheless, we favor high variance games since they tend to be a better fit for our chosen techniques.

Conclusion

For slot players, Reel’em In is a lot of fun since it has a lot of extra features and a beautiful aesthetic.

You need to have the right bankroll for the game’s low variance, but with an average RTP you don’t need to worry about the odds being stacked too high against you. However, although we do not often recommend low variance slots, if they are your thing, this is a fantastic slot to get into and have some fun with!
