Ted – It’s probably best if you put the Ted DVD in the player and switch to something else to watch. The graphics, return on investment (RTI), and unpredictability make this a difficult sell.

Ted’s evaluation
Theme and plot of the story
In the Seth MacFarlane comedy film Ted, a teddy bear comes to life as the result of a childhood dream and grows up to be a foul-mouthed and lecherous pothead, Ted is based on the same name. A number of outrageous hijinks take place throughout the film as Marky Mark Wahlberg and his bear attempt to get their lives back on track while avoiding getting abducted or losing their gal.
Despite the fact that it incorporates some of the audio from Seth McFarlane’s lines, the game does not accurately represent much of the movie’s material.
Instead, the slot lowers the video to a few logos, some beer, and a bear to make it more suitable for television. That concludes the discussion of the subject.
Graphics, sounds, and animations are all included.
The aesthetics are quite bad for a game that has been licensed. Despite the fact that the visuals are of great quality and have a lot of 3D gloss to them, the overall design does a bad job of bringing them all together, with a dull backdrop and an uninspired collection of symbols on the reels.
Although the animations are technically amazing, they are once again marred by uninspired design decisions.
The song is a short loop of a film soundtrack that becomes monotonous very instantly.
Gameplay
Ted’s basic game is a conventional five-reel, three-row slot with twenty paylines that is reminiscent of other classic slots. In some of the free spin bonuses, the number of reels is increased to four reels (details below).
Several randomised elements and a slew of various bonus games have been included in an attempt to liven things up a little bit more.
The problem is that none of these extras appear to be sufficient in raising the play to a caliber that is commensurate with the production’s inspiration being a big-budget comedy picture.
Wilds, bonuses, and free spins are all included in this game.
The Wild symbol may be used to replace any other symbol with the exception of the Scatter symbol.
Despite the fact that the Scatter symbol does not pay out, three or more anywhere on the reels will activate the Thunder Buddies Bonus, which will award one of five randomly selected bonus games, including:
- There was no data found!
- the Wheel of Fortune, which awards a lump payout;
- the Bar Crawl Bonus, which is a more involved game reminiscent of roll and move board games;
- the S Mart Free Spins, which is a standard free spin bonus with additional randomised Wilds;
- Ted Free Spins, which have additional bonuses that are randomised by where the player’s winning combos land;
- and finally there is the Ted Big Money Bonus which is more of less the same as the Wheel of Fortune but with bigger prizes.
In addition, there are a number of features that are activated at random during the main game. This feature is activated when Ted awakens, and it may provide you with more Wilds, additional Bonus symbols, and the ability to combine numerous symbols on the reels into a single symbol.
Bet sizes, return on investment (RTI), and variance
The return to player for this game is 95.80 percent, which is a bit lower than our benchmark of about 96 percent for average.
There was a wide selection of bets available on the site we tested, ranging from a minimum wager per spin of $/£/€0.20 up to a maximum stake per spin of $/£/€200.00.
Our recommended slot machine techniques do not work well with this game because of its medium level of volatility. Our slot techniques are designed to provide the maximum possible volatility, and the poor return on investment (RTI) here does not compensate for the moderate variance.
Conclusion
Ted, although having good source material and a high level of production value on display, fails to enchant the audience in the manner it should.
The visuals are excellent, but the design is shoddy; the gameplay is packed with options, yet it somehow comes off as monotonous; and the return to player (RTP) is much too low to be attractive.
The various flaws in this slot may be overlooked by those who are fans of the film, but we are not among them.
