The Final Countdown is a recap of the previous year’s events.

Theme and plot of the story

Due to the fact that Big Time Gaming has obtained the official license for Europe’s legendary synth rock single The Final Countdown, they have created one of the most bizarre slot machine settings available. A massive Saturn V rocket waits at the edge of a disco-tastic dance floor, ready to blast off into space at any moment.

There are a number of these song-themed slots available from Big Time Gaming, and although this isn’t the finest of the bunch, the melody is still a classic and the backdrop is bizarre enough to keep the player’s attention for a short time.

Graphics, sounds, and animations are all included.

It helps in selling the bizarre subject and location of the slot when the machine is aesthetically appealing, as it is in this case. With a fully animated concert light display and a disco-future metropolis in the backdrop, the strange set-up is sure to get people talking.

A beautiful blend of odd synth noises that are both thrilling and menacing in the manner that the original music is, and the sounds of the reels and special symbols are all meant to really build up the suspense in the game.

Every one of these features is prefaced by reels that are a bit more pedestrian, but are clearly produced and animated, with enough going on to keep one’s eyes focused on wherever the action is taking place.

Overall, it is a very appealing slot machine.

Because this six-by-four slot machine has an all-ways win method, the symbol for a winning combination just needs to appear on successive reels, beginning with the first reel and progressing to the right, in order to be a winner.

Although there is no gambling option, the bonuses should be plenty to keep you entertained (see below).

Wilds, bonuses, and free spins are all included in this game.

The Wild may be used to replace any other symbol, with the exception of the Scatter.

Three or more Scatter symbols appearing anywhere on the reels trigger a payout. They also provide you with the option of selecting one of two supplementary features: the Countdown function or the Heading for Venus option.

There are eight free spins available in the Countdown feature, with the countdown starting at 10. When you strike a Scatter, the countdown will be reduced by a factor of three. If the countdown reaches zero before the spins are completed, the function is reactivated.

In addition, during the Countdown bonus, a traveling Wild symbol is introduced to the second to fifth reels. A 2×2 block is started, and with each retrigger it expands by one square in each direction, eventually reaching a total of 4×4 symbols. This also provides a multiplier to any wins using the expanded Wild of four times for the 2×2 Wild, twenty-seven times for the 3×3 Wild and 256 times for the 4×4 Wild.

Every spin during the Heading for Venus bonus game results in a Reel Clone. Thus, two to four of the reels (except the first and sixth) will exactly match up with the same symbol when they are stacked together in the same locations.

During the Heading for Venus Bonus, a “Velocity Bonus” appears on Reel Clones, which expands to the width and height of the number of reels that have been activated in the bonus round. This Wild receives a random multiplier of between x4 and x888 when it is activated.

In addition, there is a random extra feature that appears every few spins in the shape of a Reel Clone. This operates in the same way as the Venus Reel clone.

If a Wild lands on the cloned reels it expands vertically and horizontally to block out a square across each of the reels. Similarly to the Countdown bonus, the expanding wild also adds size-based multipliers to the mix.

Bet sizes, return on investment (RTI), and variance

This game has a return to player percentage of 96.65 percent. Compared to our estimates, this is a little higher than the expected average for the industry that we have calculated.

There was a wide selection of wager amounts available on the site we tested, ranging from a minimum of $/£/€0.20 per spin up to a maximum bet value of $/£/€20.00 per spin on one play. A very little spread with a very low maximum is offered by this trade. Although a tiny fraction of our visitors, the number of persons playing for $/£/€20.00 is more than we would have expected.

The degree of instability in this game is astounding. This is fantastic since it indicates that it is compatible with our chosen tactics.

The Final Countdown is a very strong time slot. Despite the fact that the underlying material is a little questionable, the film manages to create a wonderful tale out of it.

The high volatility is appealing to us, and the return to player is within acceptable limits..

This is a strong endorsement from our side of the table.
