Review of Tower Quest
Theme and plot of the story
Upon first inspection, Tower Quest seems to be a conventional high-fantasy-themed video slot game. Dragons, wizards, and potions abound in this world of armoured elves, vicious-looking orcs, dragons, and wizards.
There are traces of Magic: The Gathering buried underneath all of this. These suggestions are brought to fruition in one of the extra games, which features card and dice-based gaming, respectively.
If you’ve ever wanted to assault the dark tower and kill the wicked wizard, you can now do it in slot form thanks to the Wizard of Oz slot machine.
Graphics, sounds, and animations are all included.
Tower Quest’s aesthetics are one of its most appealing features, with a diverse range of characters serving as symbols on the reels and intriguing world-building shown in the artwork and background images, among other things.
Several animations are included in the game, with each win and spin including its own set of animations for each symbol. When the Potion symbols appear on the reels, little wisps of magic begin to drift from the reels to the counters (more on that later).
A glittering combination of dramatic digital orchestras with some metal riffs beneath for the times when things really get going, such as during the bonus rounds, makes up the soundtrack.
Gameplay
Tower Quest is a five-reel slot featuring three reels and twenty fixed win lines that can be played on any device.
The major attraction of the game is found in the different extra features, each of which employs a distinct mechanism and provides the player with a great degree of flexibility in terms of how and when they are activated (fuller details below).
Wilds, bonuses, and free spins are all included in this game.
The Wild symbol may be used to replace any other symbol with the exception of the Blue Scatter, Red Scatter, and Bonus symbols. Because the Wilds are three symbols high, there is a potential that the player will land several Wilds if he or she hits one of them.
There are three more bonuses. One which is triggered by hitting three Bonus symbols and two which depend on the Scatter and are triggered by the player themselves.
The Scatter-based bonuses are accessed via the counters located on each side of the reels. Each Red or Blue Scatter that lands on the field adds one to the total. The bonus may be triggered by the player after reaching specific criteria. The bonus increases in value the later the threshold is reached (and the more symbols they have accumulated).
In this way, a player may choose between taking frequent little bonuses and waiting longer between bonuses in order to get larger benefits.
For example, the Blue Scatter bonus may be triggered if five Blue Scatter symbols have been accumulated on the counter. As a result, they will be awarded one free spin, with the middle reel locked in as a completely Wild reel. If the player waits until they have accumulated ten or fifteen symbols, they will still get one spin; however, for ten symbols, the spin will have five of the normal symbols count as Wilds, and for fifteen symbols, the first, third, and fifth reels will all be Wilds on the spin.
The Red Scatters provide five free spins along with a three-fold multiplier for every ten collected symbols, as well as extra Wilds for every twenty and thirty accrued symbols, respectively.
The second bonus is activated by landing three Bonus symbols and involves playing a combat game against the wizard in the manner of Magic the Gathering, with your rewards determined by how well you do against the wizard’s deck of cards.
As far as bonuses go, they are some of the most unique and unusual ones available, and they help to distinguish this game from the competition.
Bet sizes, return on investment (RTI), and variance
Return to player (RTP) for this game is 96.00 percent, which is more or less in line with our standard for average return.
The range of bets available on the site we tested ranged from a minimum of $/£/€0.20 per spin up to a maximum of $/£/€100.00 per spin, with the lowest being $/£/€0.20 and the highest being $/£/€100.00. That should satisfy the majority of questers, from the simplest squire to the most ostentatious knight.
In this game, the volatility is medium, which means that wins come in on a reasonably regular basis and are unlikely to be very huge when they do occur. Therefore, it is a poor fit for our favorite slot machine techniques when it comes to playing this game. Our slot techniques are designed to provide the greatest amount of volatility feasible.
However, the many additional advantages of this position may outweigh any strategic concerns.
Conclusion
Tower Quest is a delightful game to play, thanks to its unique gameplay and excellent graphic design.
The return to player (RTP) is 96 percent, which is about in the center of the pack and offers nothing to reduce the mild volatility. This does suggest, however, that individuals who follow our favored tactics may want to consider other options.
For everyone else, though, this is a fantastic fantasy-themed slot machine.
