Dragon Lines

Dragon Lines is a visually appealing slot machine based on Chinese dragons, however it lacks in sound design, has simplistic gameplay, has a poor return to player (RTP), has medium volatility, and has a pathetic bonus feature. We do not suggest this slot machine.

Review of Dragon Lines

Theme and plot of the story

Dragon Lines is a slot machine developed by Ainsworth that is based on the subject of Chinese dragons, drawing out a line of symbols that includes anything from conventional dragons to fireworks, hats, and dragon themed Yin-Yang symbols, among other things.

The rich crimson and gold of the theme is appealing, and the slot has various additional themed threads in its design that are intended to entice you to play more of it.

Graphics, sounds, and animations are all included.

The reality is that not all of these strands have been fully realized.

The graphics are one area where it really shines in the design aspect. The symbols are vibrant and sophisticated. When a victory is achieved, the dragon sign is brought to life with a humorous animation, and the entire visual style contributes to the creation of an ethereal ambiance.

The audio quality, on the other hand, is really low. You will not hear any background music or sound effects; instead, you will hear a basic set of reel sounds, as well as a small tiny noise when you win. It is possible for sound to pull you in and enhance a straightforward slot experience, but this machine makes no attempt to do so.

Gameplay

The game’s mechanics are rather straightforward. The major peculiarity is that there are one hundred win lines – a rather large number for a slot machine of this kind – which are distributed in patterns throughout the five reels.

The remainder of the game’s gameplay is fairly underwhelming. No gamble function, no minigames, and just the most rudimentary of bonuses can be found here.

Wilds, bonuses, and free spins are all included in this game.

The Scatter symbol is responsible for triggering the bonus Free Spins round. You must score three or more points. Furthermore, striking three will provide you with two times your wager every spin, while hitting five will award you with one hundred times your stake per spin.

You will get 10 free spins when you activate the Free Spins feature. During the Free Spins round, you may retrigger five more free spins by landing three or more Scatter symbols on the reels.

Wild symbols may substitute for any other symbol in the game, with the exception of the Scatter symbol, and will pay out if you land on a winning payline in the same way as normal symbols do.

Wild symbols only appear on the third to fifth reels, with the exception of during the free spins round, when they are shifted to the left by one position and appear only on the second to fourth reels.

Bet sizes, return on investment (RTI), and variance

Return to player on this game is 94.30 percent, which is lower than the average for Ainsworth slots and far below the 96 percent yardstick that we use for this kind of game. This has a significant negative impact on this position.

While the software allows for a maximum wager of up to £/$/€10, 000 every spin, the site we tested limited the stake at £/$/€5.00 per winline, for a total of a maximum of £/$/€500 each spin, while the software allows for a maximum bet of up to £/$/€10, 000 per spin. The smallest possible wager is £/$/€0.01 per line.

The slot machine has a medium level of volatility. A higher value would be preferable in our opinion.

Conclusion

Dragon Lines is graphically appealing, but it falls short in practically every other aspect of the game’s evaluation. It is by no means a terrible slot, but it is mediocre and an easy slot for us to turn down for a recommendation.
